Patrick Reardon has been practicing as corporate, securities and M&A attorney in Texas for over 30 years. He has worked with some of the wealthiest families and largest companies in the U.S. and represented clients with and against some of the largest law firms in the country. At the same time he regularly advises privately held companies, investors and management.
The first 20 years of his career were with large law firms in Dallas and Fort Worth. When he started The Reardon Firm, he was able to couple that experience with his own style of practicing business law. Putting the clients’ goals and expectations first has been paramount. Mr. Reardon is active in both the Mergers & Acquisitions Committee and the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Reardon holds an A.B. from Davidson College and M.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of South Carolina. He has been a member of the Texas Bar since 1977.
A sampling of transactions that Mr. Reardon has been involved include:
- Acting as outside general counsel to an energy company from the doors of insolvency to the sale to a NYSE-listed acquirer.
- Acting as borrower’s counsel to an energy company on a five-bank $400 million line of credit.
- Conducting numerous acquisitions of competitors by a national distributor of manufactured products.
- Representing management in the formation of a new exploration and production company funded by private equity.
- Advising a mezzanine finance company on liquidity options on warrants received in financing transactions.
- Advising an investor in opposing management’s slate of directors.
- Assisting public companies in their periodic filing under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
- Advising an offshore holding company on their U.S. operations.
